From Wednesday farmers markets to free concerts at Riverside Park, Estero and Bonita Springs stay busy year-round. This page rounds up what's happening locally and where to find full, up-to-date event listings, so you can plan a weekend out or just get a feel for life in the area before you move.

Weekly & Recurring Things to Do

Farmers Market at the Lemon Tree Lot in downtown Bonita Springs, Wednesdays 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Starting October 3, 2026, the Local Roots Flea Market runs every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Promenade at Bonita Bay, continuing through May 29, 2027. Riverside Park is normally the hub for most downtown Bonita Springs gatherings — including the outdoor community church service held there Sundays at 9:30 AM — but the park is currently closed while its bandshell and event lawn undergo renovation, with the City targeting a late-fall 2026 reopening. Confirm locations with individual organizers until the park reopens.

Parks & Outdoor Recreation

Palm-lined walking and bike path

Both towns sit on the water and lean into it. In Bonita Springs, Riverside Park anchors downtown with walking paths and event space, while Bonita Beach and Lovers Key State Park offer Gulf access nearby. In Estero, the Estero Park & Recreation Center at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd hosts community programs, and Estero Community Park, Koreshan State Park and the Estero Bay Preserve give residents miles of trails, kayak launches and picnic space.
